well tomorrow is my big day. i am praying that it won't rain, because if it does then only 4 people can come. we had graduation practice today at 9am. i was extremely hung over, so it sucked. we had to sit there and listen to all of the deans talk to us for an hour and a half, then we sang the alma mater, and then we practiced walking.

one good thing happened at grad practice- i found out that magna cum laude is 3.7-3.899, not 3.75-3.899, so i got it w/ my 3.744!!! that was really exciting.
tomorrow is going to be sad... but i never have to do homework again.

i couldn't end my graduation entry without a reference to the saved by the bell graduation episode:

It seems like only yesterday we started,
But soon we'll put away our books and pens.
We'll go on with our lives once we have parted,
But how can we say farewell to our friends?

The drinking games, the dorm rooms, and the functions,
Crammin' for a midterm until three.
The football games, the roost, and the romances,
Soon Elmhurst will be just a memory.

My three years here have all become unraveled,
And so our college story finally ends.
But years from now, no matter where we've travelled,
We'll all look back and think about our friends.
We'll all look back and think about our friends.

one step closer to the real world

as most of you know, i have worked at outback steakhouse for the past four years. i have been a hostess, a take-away server, a food runner, and a food expeditor. i am probably outback's biggest advocate, and i could tell you anything you'd ever want to know about the menu. today was my last day. i thought i was going to cry, but thankfully i didn't. it was a pretty calm last day, we didn't have many orders. the servers surprised me with a cake. i also got a present (a wind chime for my new apartment) and a card that everyone signed. it had some weird messages though, and one guy said "try not to be such a dork". so that was... nice... and one of the busboys begged me for a picture (too bad i didn't have one with me).

now i just have to finish school; i have one quiz, one take home final, and two finals next week and then i am done... weird. i have three weeks of no work which is awesome, and jon comes home this week which is also awesome! so i have a lot to look forward to.
