i'll be 22 in a month. and it's going to be the busiest month of my life thus far. the worst part is going to be moving out of my apartment, and all the stuff i have to do related to that. i have to cancel my electricity, water, cable, internet, phone, and newspaper. i have to notify a ton of people that i'm moving (banks, credit card companies, etc). i have to pack up all of my stuff and move it back to my parents' house, including a huge kitchen table, a futon, dresser, desk, entertainment center, bed frame, etc. and i have to schedule a time for the buildings and grounds manager to come look at my apartment to determine if i have any charges for messing stuff up. and before that guy comes, i have to re-paint my bedroom wall and patch a few holes in other random walls, and my carpet needs a good shampoo. but besides all that moving crap, june is just insane with other committments.
i have:
4 graduation parties
1 wedding
flyers game
dentist to get a cavity filled (w/ out the gas b/c i'm too poor! yikes)
father's day- i'm going to my grandparents house in davis, il
jon and i are going to az for 3 days to get an apartment
my parents are having their 28th anniversary
i am turning 22
goodbye party for me and jon
i need to get the title of my car transferred from my parents' to my name
i need health insurance-- but i found some pretty cheap stuff at esurance.com, like i can get it for $20/month. all i really need is coverage for an emergency b/c i'm doing the dentist/eye doctor/gyno appointments now while i still have good insurance
plus i have 15 days of work
and i have to get my car in tip top shape for the move
oh, and i need to get my medical records... that will be fun
but i'm definitely not complaining. it will be nice to have something to do other than sit in front of my computer every day when i get home from work. i'm just kind of worried that i'm going to forget something important. i have several checklists with things to do on them, and i even went online and did a relocation wizzard thing that tells me what i should have done by what date.
but for now i am just going to try and relax. jodi and i are going to the dominican republic this weekend- yay!!! and i can't wait until my boyfriend comes back from italy on june 4th!
i guess i'm kind of a moron for never realizing that i would have to be an arizona resident for at least a year in order to get the in-state tuition rate. i thought that having an AZ drivers license with my AZ address on it would be good enough. but it's not. so now if i want to go to school this year it's going to cost $10,000 instead of $4,000. damnit.
i have an interview for culinary school on july 5th at 10 am!!!!! i'm really excited. i got kinda worried b/c i didn't hear anything from them for a long time, but it's all good.
