it´s my last day in sevilla, and it is the first free day we have had all trip. i have been doing a little shopping and relaxing, and i packed all of my things for tomorrow. we are taking taxis to the train station, they are supposed to show up at our houses at 12:30, so hopefully that will work out. we are taking the train back to madrid and spending the night there, then sunday we are going to segovia.
there are a lot of things i am going to miss in sevilla. like the 1€ beers, the palm trees and warm weather, not having homework, not having to work, etc. but i do miss everyone at home, especially my dog. and i miss cheesy gordita crunches. we are coming home on thursday, so i only have 6 days left here... do i really want to go back to cold snowy chicago? the 70 degree winters here are pretty great.
Posted by JenMagenta at January 21, 2005 9:55 AMDon't you miss running to the bus and sliding 20 feet on one leg while flailing your arms because there was ice underneath the snow that you didn't see? yea, probably not :)
Posted by: Jon at January 21, 2005 1:33 PMWell I bet she at least misses walking to class in icy winds and going to scratch your ear only to have it crack clear off.
Posted by: Marv at January 21, 2005 2:03 PMJen, I can't believe they don't have cheesy gordita crunches in Spain! I mean isn't that where they are from? haha...well I know you don't miss the weather, but it is wonderful here, we have SO much snow, it's beautiful. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip and am so jealous that you got to go to the soccer game. They probably stopped allowing alcohol in there b/c they are so damn crazy without it, imagine what it would be like with it. That is really strange about the bathrooms...definitely different than back here where they are normaly disgusting but at least you can clean yourself afterwards...maybe they think that since they are so good about cleaning the bathrooms, you shouldn't worry about cleaning yourself...gross...anyway, I gotta go do homework, one of the many things I'm sure you miss about this place. Hope you have a safe trip back :)
