Advertising is Everywhere

I was playing around with Microsoft new Virtual Earth, and marveling at how the buildings looked like real buildings and not the color you get after all your play-doh colors are mixed together (you know, that ugly grayish color). I was observing Denver, CO from the air when I noticed something in the background, near the mountains west of Denver.

So of course I zoomed closer to see what it was. At first I thought they had modeled a billboard in that part of town, until I saw it was hanging in the air, and when my mouse got near it, a nice little popup from Nissan.com appeared in my taskbar.

I just posted a comment in Julia's blog wondering where our friend went. Turns out she's right here.

Adam, good to see you blogging again. That creepy floating billboard scares me.

Forget about all this crap and search for World Wind Central.
PS Well, it's coming from Microsoft, what did you expect to see, a Crysler?
